4. Get a Good Night’s Sleep
You might feel like it’s a Catch-22 when it comes to getting your beauty sleep. You know you need to sleep at least 7 or 8 hours a night to recharge and give your mind a rest. That’s easier said than done when you are feeling stressed. You need to make a conscious effort to get into a regular sleep routine. Don’t eat anything past seven o’clock at night. Forget about anything with caffeine in it during the evenings. Believe it or not, alcohol is not the answer either. Do something that will help you unwind. Listen to soothing music. Take a warm bath or shower. Read. Give yourself a cool, dark, quiet environment. Pick a time and make it a regular part of your regimen. A good night’s sleep will do wonders when it comes to managing stress.
