13. Pack Your Lunches
Everyone’s heard the “pack your lunches” advice for workers on a budget, but it applies to your weight loss journey, too! When you pack your lunch, you’re better able to control exactly what goes into it, eliminating those dangerous calorie traps that you don’t even realize you’re eating. Eating out can be a real challenge when you’re trying to lose weight. There are hidden calories in all sorts of places. Some salads, which you’d assume to be healthy, can contain as many as 1,000 or even more calories–more than half your daily allotment! If you simply must eat at a restaurant, check out the calorie count online and choose a dish that you know will fit your diet. Otherwise, pack your own meals so that you’ll be full, satisfied, and still sticking to your diet.
