1. Drink Up!
One of the easiest ways to start dropping pounds naturally is to make sure that your body is well hydrated. You’ve probably heard the old rule of thumb: eight glasses of water a day, each one containing at least eight ounces. This is actually the bare minimum amount of water that you should be drinking. In fact, sixty-four ounces of water a day is the amount that’s appropriate for someone weighing approximately 128 lbs. If you want to know how much you should really be drinking, take your weight in pounds and divide it by two, then convert that to ounces: that’s the amount of water your body needs to efficiently flush toxins, enhance digestion, and keep your system moving efficiently.
If you have trouble drinking that much water daily, consider flavoring it. You can add fruit to your water, especially citrus fruit, which is known for boosting your metabolism. Cinnamon is a great flavor booster that can also add a small metabolic boost.
