2. Don’t Sleep In
A lot of people try to stick to one sleep schedule during the week and another, looser schedule on the weekend. This isn’t a good idea, though. Even if you were up late the night before, resist the urge to sleep in past your normal wake time. Waking up just two hours after your normal wake time can disrupt your internal clock and affect your sleep quality, making it harder to get back on schedule once Monday rolls around. The more your weekday and weekend sleep schedules differ, the more fatigued you’ll feel during the day, even if you logged a few more hours of sleep on a Saturday. If you have to make up for a late night out, wake up at your normal time and then take a nap in the afternoon.
