13. Get the HPV vaccine
This vaccine is important because it protects you against the cancer causing human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. About 14 million people, including teens, become infected each year. It is recommended for preteen boys and girls ages 11 or 12; however, young women can get vaccinated thru age 26 and men thru age 21.
